FREE! Government Phones conspiracy, or just the way THIS ADMINISTRATION does buisness

August 28, 2012

Step right up, step right up an getcher free govmint phones!, They are given ’em away EVERYWHERE! For Free!, not one thin dime, nuthin’,nada, zilch, gratis! Sound too good to be true? Dont know about you but……, Somthin for free? For me? Yep I’ll take it with extra toppin’s, please. There’s a side story here, dont let me forget to tell ‘er to ya later, ok? but… remember the comment”too good to betrue” i made earlier, wellllll.. turn out it MAY be true( in this article about free phones) as i did some checkin’ round on the www, low and behold, there seems to be no shortage of theory in the spec-u-latin’ crowd. Pssssst- them phones got secret trackin chips in ’em!, (which IS IN FACT, TRUE!). them governmet telly fones , stay away from ’em myself…that battery’s not a battry at all, why thats a small block of plastic explosive them gov boys is gonna set off if Obammy loosses the re-lection in November, dontcha know?(would’nt THAT! be funny if true?) I’ve even heard that Aliens could pick up your signal and beam you up by mistake, wow…just like star trek ‘ehh?( this, unfortunately is NOT true).

Ok, the truth is all the phones the gov gives away DO NOT have a “tracking” chip. some of the older ones the gov is givin’ away were made prior to the tech to track ya…. aint you lucky? But some phones do…how do ya know which do or dont? Well, turns out that ALL the newer smart phones(i-pads and such) have an RFID chip in ’em! This means that ANYBODY can follow your every move(there’s programs available) but mostly in city environs. thats good cause we all live out in the remote country, is’nt it? ahh, well, now if ya got one of those cheapee phones($10 bucks in the dollar store, youve seen ’em)your probably all right though, seems those are ok, no RFID chip in ’em. Now for the side story; the other day though, we were walkin’ along, and were practically dragged into the local firehouse! With the pleas of ” if you take one it’ll force the cell companies to install more phone towers” now this is all well and good(so I signed up an took one, “all the toppings, please)”. upon gettin home though, I was really surprised to open up the box and see a Palm pilot! Damn, what a snazzy phone!then i got to thinkin’, this phone must be what, 6 or 7 years old? Thats a FIRST generation Smart Phone!(yep! it does have the rfid thingee, in fact it has gps locator technology) about when it was new tech, they were goin’ for maybe $200 bucks, maybe 250 ? Gov tryin’ to get us poe folks used to gettin these things …sooner or later the newer stuff will make it’s way to us too. and they WILL have the chip!As far as the explosive battery theory….well I have investigated, peek, poked and looked high n low(on the internet, anyway) and i gotta say I think its total BS! But ya never know…..On the other hand, all this free stuff IS the way this obama admin operates. Remember?, Bailouts for private industry, bailouts for the bankin’ industry, the “stimulus packages”maybe its just another way to waste OUR tax dollars.

See! I have done the ‘vestigatin’ so you don’t have to.

like I say the next “shovel ready” obama project is him diggin’ his own grave!(Naw.. just kiddin, but…..)yes i am a member of tabo, the anyone but obama camp. but i think Mitt can get this economy goin agin! if ya vote for the mook again i’m gonna have to slap ya, I know who you are, and what yer doin’….got a smart phone?

and if ya really need a reason NOT to vote for the current prez just check this vid

let them eat cake!
now this is what i call expounding from the ‘ol tractor seat, i have a few things most folks should know. i make no secret of the fact i am a TABOC, AND I HAVE TO SAY MITT’S PLAN SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD! turn loose free enterprize, we have a HUGE surplus of CHEAP natural gas let them tinkerers have at it- new uses for it could be runnin’ yer car on NG, heat yer home(and barn, outhouse, doghouse, chicken house, Hey, gas is cheap enuf to do all this, why not go all the way?), get the epa to let them oil drillers and coal miners get back to what they do best- provide energy- open up ALL national parks to drilling and exploration. lets get free of OPEC. in the gulf, in light of recent accidents i think the big oil companies will be a bit more careful(so they say, anyway)
a while back there was all sorts of theories about peak oil(were gonna be out of oil in 25 years)it turns out that there is A LOT of oil and gas HERE on AMERICAN SOIL.why are we importing from the middle east? why are we competing with europe and china for these resources? we need to become independent of foreign oil n gas!
why CAN’T we eat our cake? c’mon Barack, let them drillers an coal miners go!

Lawsuit: Obama Is ‘Illegally’ Thwarting Offshore Drilling
A new lawsuit filed by an independent American oil and gas company charges that the Obama administration is blocking legitimate efforts to find and produce oil from offshore wells.
“Given the challenges still facing the U.S. economy, the government needs to move aside and let private industry do what private industry does best: create jobs and increase our oil supply to help lower the price at the pump,” a report from the Heritage Foundation states.
“And yet the Obama administration remains committed to strangling America’s economic revival by doing everything in its power to prevent companies that obtain offshore leases from actually drilling and producing oil — a fact evidenced by a new lawsuit just filed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims by an independent U.S. oil and gas company.”
By March 2010, ATP Oil & Gas Corporation received oil leases and necessary permits to drill in the Gulf of Mexico, and installed state-of-the-art drilling and processing equipment to safely access already-penetrated oil reservoirs, according to the report. The project was financed with $1.5 billion from J.P. Morgan.
Then in April 2010, the BP-operated Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf exploded while drilling a well into a previously unexplored reservoir. In response, the Obama administration ordered moratoria on deep-water drilling and barred consideration of new permits.
As a result, the ATP operation was shut down.
ATP has now struck back by filing a lawsuit alleging that the Interior Department “improperly and illegally suspended all deep-water offshore drilling activities and imposed two illegal moratoria on the deep-water drilling permit application process and then unreasonably and unlawfully delayed the issuance of drilling permits after the lifting of the formal moratoria.”
ATP is essentially asserting that the government breached its offshore leases with ATP by violating the Administrative Procedure Act in two ways, according to the Heritage Foundation report written by Hans von Spakovsky and Nicolas Loris: “By issuing overbroad moratoria, and by manipulating seven experts from the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) to bolster a recommendation for the moratoria.”
They also point out that all seven NAE experts denied supporting moratoria recommendations, and a previous court case concluded that a White House official had changed the report used to justify the moratoria.
The authors write: “ATP’s lawsuit provides a revealing glimpse into the capital-intensive oil and gas industry where unfair and illegal actions by a government agency can cost companies (and the U.S. economy) enormous sums of money.”
Opening the outer continental shelf to drilling, they add, “would generate hundreds of thousands of new jobs, generate hundreds of billions of dollars in government revenue, and bring more oil to the world market, thereby lowering gas prices.”

I got wood!

December 11, 2008

frostyA month or so back i had a walkabout on the MYB farm, just seeing exactly what kind of trees are in fact on the property. We have yer, Scrub pine, and some cedar, hickory(both smooth and shagbark), 1 old cherry tree, lots of oak, lots n lots of maple tent1 (in fact one campsite is called “maple grove”), a stand of small locust, in an area undeveloped yet, even some birch and lots of poplar. The area was “timbered” some 15-20 years ago, bot the area looks very heavily forested. I think this is why I fell in love with the property when I bought it. Very shady in the woods here! Very sunny on the flatlands at the ridgetop, hence the farm/campgound designation. Very low Police presence up here also. Very quiet in summer too- lots of birdsong and woods noise. In fact I am probably the noisiest thing up here, what with my tractor, partys, and shootin’ i do.
Have’nt done much this week as almost every day it’s been rain, rain n more rain! I cut down the set of three dead standing hickory so i’ve had real good firewood this month, but I don’t know how I’m gonna get the last one i cut up the hill! Seems it did’nt want to follow the program and fall the way i wanted as the other 3 trees. I guess I’ll have to cut it into 8′ lengths and skid them with the tractor. Man I hate doin’ that. Even when I DON’T have all the mud that a week of rain will produce. I almost got the 4wd tractor stuck yesterday! Looks like there will be a serious bonfire this spring as i have literally tons of brush, tree limbs , stumps and weeds accumulating on the ridgetop garden from the woodlot. Also comming up some pics of the “metal junk” i am gathering from the hillside! It’s a shame how the previous owners of the property just dumped about 2 tons of assorted scrap over the hillside, out of sight, out of mind. Well, scrap is worth a lot more now than when it was dumped, looks like enough for a few cases of brew to go along with the bonfire! Everyone up on the ridge is ok, GL&GB are warm and comfy, GH is awol someplace, no police have been up in our neck o the woods, and the barn cats(box cats) are warm and dry with their “new” comforter( see Post”in sufferance”) and the deer are a hidin'(2nd week of bambi season).

Why you should’nt write while high

December 8, 2008

funny_pictures_animated_star_trek_cast_night_outwell not a good idea as more thought per second does not equal quality writing. Ohh yeah where was i, oh, Norman Ridge- well the 911 mapping project is(apparantly) underway- great, now them terrorists will know just where to find us! They(the “authorities) are out in a brand new “jeeplike” vehicle mapping out 911 gps addresses, I asked do you have a (GPS)reciever, ahhh… nope?????? I was told our little COUNTY dirt road is now to be called “Cain Road” I assume because of a prominent(large family)land holder out thisaway. Now it no longer sounds like a neglected COUNTY road, more like a neglected private road. 9/35 is no more! The barn cats(box cats) are real happy now as in addition to their straw bedding, they now have a comforter we no longer use(see earlier post). Snug as three cats in a rug! GB seems to be doin well, but his reumatize is actin’ up now that the colder weather is definitely here. Putn the studded(ohh baby!) snow tires on today as I’m gettin tired of gettin stuck on my own property, or a COUNTY road(see earlier post)- well thats it for today I rekon, recon, whatever- comment me! Tell yer friends, subscribe!- I tole ya i was high!

On my little bit of two lane

December 7, 2008

I “Love” my county road- the joy of bone jarring craters of the moon, “graveled” summertime, mud the consistancy of butterscotch pudding, standing water a foot deep(with another 6″ of mud on the bottom) in the spring and fall, rt 9/35, the road dept in our county occasionally dumps “gravel” to fill the constant potholes, but uses 4-6″ chunks of rock as gravel, but not as a base- ass the final fill! needless to say your vehicle suffers! Remember, this is a COUNTY road. If you live on this road, better sell the sedan and get a 4wd pickemup truck! You ARE gonna get stuck otherwise. In the middle of a COUNTY road. OK- on to the next rant, STILL no city water on Norman Ridge- 1/2 a mile away in either direction, Yes, here, NO. Am I the only one who thinks we all should get on the same page? Get a clue, it’s the 21st century! Telephone, Yes, natural gas, yes, electric service, yes, internet, yes, satellite TV, yes- but no water! We still have to haul water on the Ridge. Good exersize, ya recon?trailer

I have a question

December 4, 2008

viewcomment.aspx?id=5cb84fc5-bd28-4a54-addb-3a15669bf482 There I was, headin’ to wallyworld to save a little dough on my groceries instead of a local food—d, little did I know the falling gas prices did’nt translate into falling food prices! Wallyworld! Home of the $1 pepper! The $3 lettuce! Man, the produce was CRAZY money! How about poultry- a roaster $9, a FROZEN turkey $25!!! OK- my question is when the gas went up the price of food did’nt go up THAT much, but in the week and a half of under $2 gas food went out of site. Why so high NOW? Whats up with that!

Been not too bad weatherwise(except for the mud!) but now it looks like we’re in for it, so far this FALL( and it still is fall) it’s been cool but not all that cold. But WINTER is coming(on the 23rd?) and all the oldtimers say the”woolyworms” are very large(or all black, or all tan, or all whatever) and that means a real bad winter. OK, and my grand aunt’s hemeroids are up, my dog eats steak, the sky is grey when it snows, and, and, and. Well, lets see if they are right- I’ll compare in future posts the last 20 years with this winter to se if the woolyworms rally do predict the weather, months in advance! Keep ya posted.
Saw “the outcasts” in Ducks Pawn, buyin guns and diamonds no less!-WQe all thought the duos days of freedom were limited, but deer season prevails! Ahhh West Virginia, always free(even the criminals) to pursue the ever elusive(yeah, right not to hard to find in a car, on a highway)Bambi’s. Thank God for firearms!

Warmth- have a seat around the campfire

November 29, 2008

pull up and set a spell!

pull up and set a spell!

Yeah- just the thing for a real cold December night!- Pull up a seat, tell yer best bullshit story, tell a joke, share out yer case of beer, whatever- remember MYB farm will have FREE camping again this spring(or even now, if ya can handle it!), primitive camping only- No electric, gas or water. We do have an outhouse, and maybe this year a primitive shower too(if I get ambitious)- meanwhile, enjoy the fire and dream about spring!

Hello and wecome to the first issue of “NRL” with news and comment on the happenin’s on Norman Ridge, Calhoun county, West(by God) Virginia!- I am the editor and moderator of this site, Will Olsen. the phone here is  304-354-9434 E mail is  so you can phone in or email  any  stories or news items- thanks for reading-Willyo, ed.

Sept 11, 2008- Will all please bow yer head  and say a prayer for all our fallen hero’s.

Well, things are always happenin’ out on the ridge and last night was no exception! Happy Birthday, Gordy Brooks! He’s the spry “27” year old owner of “Gordyville” here on the ridge. As most folks around here know, he had a little run in with the local gendarms about his right to drive. Well, that has been resolved, and we all wish him an uneventfull new year.  The editor and Bonnie visited Gord and he seemed  to be in High spirits and had a real nice cake made by his gal nurse. a good time was had by all!

in other news- the little gal out by “the horse farmer” has moved out by Fred’s place, after a long legal battle- we all hope ya like it out here on the End.

past news- Well the “unknown theives” have struck again! A rifle was stolen from Freddy, and some accusations were flying as to the identity of the thief. Intuitive folks made inquiries and the said firearm was located over on”crack mountain” and speedily returned to it’s owner!- who says there’s no justice in Calhoun! If we all banded together and maybe sent a little lead at the perperators of these little “missunderstandings” maybe, just maybe we could go back to a day, not so long ago, when we did’nt have to lock our doors and worry about leaving our property!

It seems, in another( semi-related) story- our own Brian is now sporting some “county ankle jewelry” As most up here on the ridge know, the blue shirts have been seen “visitin” just a few weeks ago. Hey, sorry about yer luck, Bri, we all wish ya well! Get it over with, be good and move on.

Welcome again to the NRL-9/18/08

well it seems that E Stevens has been workin on his hay baler- problems with the string cutter- soon to be resolved, I’m sure.

Fred Little and the editor did a little weed wackin’ today- I picked the last of Freds corn and tomatos today. Yesterday i picked a handful of his bannana peppers( some were goin to the red)- and fried ’em up. MAN they were HOT<HOT< HOT!- so I made a great(if a little HOT) hot pepper relish for them that love HOT! food. Any body want to try some email me

also yesterday made some killer Italian  tomato sauce, man, ya can really tell when the tomato’s have ripened on the vine! So sweet ya’d swear i added sugar!

tonite I’m cookin up the last of the late season corn fer freezin’ so i can have some this winter.

at the MYB farm gettin ready to cut hay(hear that eugene?)- so ya better get that baler workin!

wanna burn all debris on the field so i can add a little nutrients to the soil and not raise such a large crop of weeds! Anybody got some horse shit or cow shot they wnna get ridof?? Then email me and we can set sumthin up.

Gordy Brooks(over at Gordyville) has been gettin the towin’ apperatus attatched to his trailer in preperation fer the “BIG MOVE” soon to come. He wants to have everything ready for the winter. If only them trailer movers did’nt charge so damn much!$375 just for the hook up!!- I guess I missed my callin’.

Other news- well I have told Don that i  would very much like to buy his trailer, so it seems i may yet have a new place to live! May be movin’ to the ridge shortly, Stay tuned!
